The IT Crowd Season One

Sick of working in a job where you don't get any respect? Tired of the same stupid questions about computers? So are the IT staff at Reynholm Industries. The IT Department is made up of a mere three people, including new recruit Jen, who remain vastly underappreciated for their efforts.
The cast consists of Moss, Roy and Jen, each funny in their own way. Moss is the quintessential nerd; academically gifted, socially unskilled, lives with his mother, terrified of women and interprets everything in the most literal sense. He's also very innocent, moralistic and sweet-natured, all of which contributes to the comic relief he brings to the show. Roy is also nerdy, but not to the same extent. He's more aware of social norms, even if he doesn't fully engage in society, and has more confidence with women, albeit with not much luck.
He's also Irish, with a typical bogger accent (I know 'cause I am one), which is sometimes at the butt of the jokes. Jen is their unlikely relationship manager, clueless about computers, but acts as a bridge between the nerdy and hidden IT Department and the 'normal' staff in nicer parts of the building. She has typical girl issues, which she unsuccessfully tries to explain to the guys, and has a bad habit of lying. Their boss is the director of Reynholm industries, Mr Reynholm himself- an overdramatic, hyper caricature of every employee's worst nightmare, with his nonsensical schemes to improve his staff and self-aggrandizing speeches. The IT Department is out of sight in the grubby, dilapidated basement, while the rest of the building is impressive, bright and clean, with glorious views of London.
In the pilot episode we see how Jen manages to blag her way into management, as she outlines her experience with computers (which includes deleting emails and clicking the mouse). Moss and Roy aren't impressed but discover she has some qualities the IT Department could benefit from. As the series progresses, we see Moss's remarkable ability with computers, but sadly little else, Jen's attempts at flirting with a handsome security man and Roy's stress-inducing behaviour. We eventually meet misunderstood sensitive goth, Richmond, played by Noel Fielding, who's delightful in this role.
The dialogue is rich in witty one-liners, there's quality slapstick moments and quirky characters, all soaked in geeky sentiment for our entertainment. It's sort of an old-school comedy, as it relies on classic comedic methods for humour, as standard for Graham Linehan I suppose, and the actors are well-cast as they have perfect comedic timing.
The IT Crowd parodies common stereotypes, including nerds, as well as corrupt middle management, television advertisements, workplace practices and seminars, and the dating game.
This isn't the first time we've seen Graham Linehan produce a comedy featuring a cranky Irish man, his peculiar misfit friend and quirky self-absorbed woman (see Black Books), but it works in the original setting of a company's IT Department.
The attention to detail is admirable, as it's so absent from most television shows today. You don't have to be a nerd to enjoy this show, but it probably helps. If you look closely at the set, you'll see Linehan's favourite comic books, tributes to retro video games, posters with tech slang on them, and countless other nerd paraphernalia. The detail of the set is lost on me obviously but it's impressive nonetheless.

Outland (1981)

Sen Connery. What a man. A man's man. A ladies' man. A Sci-Fi man.
Oh yes, indeed. The bold Sen has made the several forays into the world of Science-Fiction, some good ('The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' for all its faults is still hugely enjoyable), some not so good (1974's 'Zardoz' - Connery is a big red nappy - and it's Irish!).
But one of his better ventures was Peter Hyams' forgotten Sci-Fi actioner, 'Outland', released to critical approval in 1981. Aptly summed up as 'High Noon' in space, it deals with a police officer (Connery) being dispatched to a large mining colony on Io, one of the moons of Jupiter. There he encounters corruption, organized crime, drug smuggling, unscrupulous corporate politics and a shootout finale. All this takes place in a maze of low-light tunnels, futuristic corridors and metal-wrapped rooms that look like they came straight out of Ridley Scott's 'Alien'.
Indeed the marked similarities in layout and design between both movies has often been remarked upon, usually to the disparagement of 'Outland', but in fact both movies merely extrapolate a future based upon the ideas and concepts of the late 1970s and early '80s in a realistic manner and come up unsurprisingly with much the same results. The mining colony of Io looks remarkably lifelike, with a worn, industrial lived-in look. It is a dark, grimy place reflecting its purpose and much of the technology still looks remarkably believable today.
Though liked by critics the audience reaction upon release was mixed and today the movie enjoys a greater reputation than it did then as a primer of what a realistic Science-Fiction movie should look like - and feel. Thirty years on it can still be enjoyed as a western set in space, and any film with Sen Connery is always going to be good.

Biography of James Bond Creator Ian Fleming

Born in Mayfair, London, 1908, Ian Lancaster Fleming was a British author, journalist, and World War II Navy Commander. Though, in popular culture, Fleming is best known for creating the James Bond character, chronicling his adventures in twelve novels and nine short stories.
Also accredited to Fleming are the children's story, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and two other non-fiction books. Fleming died in 1964, but his timeless character James Bond continues to live on with numerous movies, the more recent movies being throwbacks to the first book, Casino Royale, and its sequel, Quantum of Solace.
Fleming was born to Valentine Fleming, a Member of Parliament, and his wife Evelyn Ste Croix Fleming. He was the younger brother of travel writer Peter Fleming and the older brother of Michael and Richard Fleming. Fleming was educated at Sunningdale School in Berkshire, Eton College, and at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
He was honored Victor Ludorum at Eton, two years in a row - something that had been achieved only once before. Fleming would attend school in Austria, attempting to improve his German and prepare for Foreign Office exams. Finally, he ended up at the University of Geneva, where he failed to join the Foreign Office, ultimately working as sub-editor and journalist for the Reuters news service.
In 1939, on the eve of World War II, Fleming was recruited as Rear Admiral John Godfrey's personal assistant. Fleming was eventually promoted to Commander with the codename 17F.
In 1942, Fleming formed an Auxiliary Unit known as 30AU, or 30 Assault Unit that he nicknamed "Red Indians", the unit was specifically trained in lock-picking, safe-cracking, hand-to-hand combat, and other techniques and skills involving collecting intelligence. Fleming's group collected key intelligence for many missions during the war, especially with successful missions such as Operation Overlord.
Fleming's time in the service of the Navy proved to be inspiration for his writing career. The intelligence work provided him with a solid background for spy novels.
In 1953, he published his first novel, Casino Royale. It was with this classic novel that Fleming introduced the world to the character, James Bond, famously known by his code number, 007. Rumors of Fleming's involvement with Camp X, a specialized training program during WWII, supplied Fleming with character details for Bond.
Bond's actual name came from famed ornithologist James Bond, son of the Bond family who befriended Fleming, allowing him to use their Jamaican estate to write. The Bonds were wealthy manufacturers whose estate outside of Philadelphia, Pa. eventually became Gwynedd Mercy College.
The Bond novels realized little to no success with the American audience until then President John F. Kennedy cited From Russia With Love on a list of his favorite books. After that, sales quickly increased. Fleming would go on to write a total of 14 Bond books.
After the financial success of the Bond series, Fleming was able to retire. Along with the Bond series, Fleming has also written a children's novel and two guide books: Thrilling Cities, and a study of The Diamond Smugglers.

James Bond Plays the Casinos - The Top Five Scenes

Although Casino Royale is an obvious clue that the movie will feature gambling, gambling scenes and James Bond's predilection for the game of Baccarat, this James Bond movie is far from being the only movie that includes scenes of Bond enjoying one of his favorite pastimes.
The James Bond character reflects everything that is the ultimate gambler--coolness in the face of danger, calm when the opponents are obviously increasing to the boiling point, intelligent enough to know when to play a hand and how to make the best use of the hand he is dealt, and oozing with self-confidence.
Casino Royale was written by Ian Fleming, with the casino scene based on a visit to the Casino Estoril located in Lisbon. In history, the Casino in Portugal's capital was a popular gathering place for German agents during World War II.
The novel and earlier versions of the movie have Bond playing Baccarat, but the signature movie capitalized on the increasing popularity of a game called Texas Holdem--a form of poker. Televised poker events such as the World Series of poker and other events have made poker a spectator sport. The plot of the movie required that large pots be on the table such as are available with the poker game. The movie Casino Royale was set in a fictional French town called Royale-les-Eau.
The James Bond film from 1983, Never Say Never Again, also featured a Casino Royale in the plot. However, this Casino Royale was set in Monte Carlo and was actually filmed on location at the Casino de Monte Carlo in the principality of Monaco. Te Hotel de Paris on Casino Square was the specific filming site.
Also set in Monte Carlo was the casino in the 1999 James Bond movie GoldenEye. The GoldenEye casino was given yet another name, but the setting was the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, as was the filming location.
The casino in the 1996 James Bond movie Thunderball was set not in France or Monaco, but in the Bahamas. It was the first of two official James Bond movies to use a Bahamas casino setting.
Although not officially part of the James Bond movie hits, the 1967 spoof filmed in England features a French Casino Royale. The movie was also named Casino Royale. The telemovie called Climax!: Casino Royale produced by Television City, Los Angeles used a Monte Carlo setting and was filmed on the casino set at the studio lot.
The excitement of the casino surroundings, with well-dressed people enjoying themselves at the various games as a background for the individual action at the Baccarat or Poker tables create a mix of sensations and images.
On the one hand is the Bond character who portrays the ultimate of controlled emotions giving specific instructions for the preparation of his signature drink in the middle of a tense game, while in the background are murmurs of appreciation as other players celebrate their winnings, albeit in a genteel way.

The Two Scariest Horror Movie Costumes

When it comes time to dress up for Halloween, there's always the choice to make: do you go silly or scary? Many love causing trick-or-treaters or their friends to jump so they opt for the latter. Choosing a costume of one of the scariest horror movie characters is a sure way to get screams and shrieks as you celebrate Halloween.
One of the scariest horror movie costumes is Jason Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" movies. The first film brought Jason to life on the screen in the early 80's and viewers have continued to be terrified up through the recent reboot of the movie. What makes Jason so scary is his silent slasher nature and his horrific face shielded by that hockey mask. A Jason costume on Halloween will scare many people who come across his path.
Along with Jason, the other scary horror movie icon is Freddy Krueger. A Freddy Krueger costume consists of his gruesome burnt up face, striped long sleeve top and his brown hat. Freddy is famous for the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series of movies including a remake as well. In those movies, teenagers are afraid to go to sleep because Freddy will turn their dreams to deadly nightmares.
Freddy has gone through plenty of films including a face-off against Jason Voorhees. There wasn't a clear winner in their battle and there likely never will be. As far as scaring the costume competition one thing is clear though. Choosing either the Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees classic horror movie costumes is a great way to celebrate their iconic status and scare the living daylights out of others!

Dancing With the Stars Season 11 Starts Up

Dancing with the Stars is really a wildly well-liked show. Considered to be within the 'reality TV' genre, Dancing with the Stars is now entering its eleventh season. The new cast of Hollywood stars dance partners was announced during an episode of ABC's new reality show 'Bachelor Pad'.
The eleventh cast lineup includes musical master Michael Bolton, and renowned funny lady Margaret Cho. Jennifer Grey of 'Dirty Dancing' is making a TV appearance as a cast member too. It will probably be interesting to see how her 'Dirty' moves translate to DwtS two decades later. The highlight for a lot of viewers might be America's Favorite Mom, Florence Henderson of the Brady Bunch.
Dancing with the Stars comes on around several peoples' bedtimes. Unique episodes, including the season kickoff episode, run lengthy at two hours. Does this mean that several individuals watch Dancing with the Stars from their bedrooms and mattresses while getting ready for bed? It does seem like a great show to do a couple of bedtime rituals to. Lots of women like to paint their nails at night. Still others appreciate doing light exercising, like sit-ups just prior to taking to bed. Dancing with the Stars offers a pleasant show without a lot of drama. This makes it a fantastic show to watch prior to settling into a cozy memory foam mattress on a crisp fall evening.
Dancing with the Stars season 11 starts just as autumn comes creeping in. The nights are already becoming cooler than they were just a couple of short weeks ago. The days have begun their annual shortening too. As individuals bed down extra early because the crisp darkness has them inside more, Dancing with the Stars offers fun entertainment for passing the evening hours.
If individuals take to watching this show and other fall startups from their bed mattresses, are they likely to seek new, nicer televisions with crisper pictures? Maybe a larger screen TV would fit the bill. Watching television from a memory foam mattress that's covered in luxurious high thread-count sheets, and fluffy pillows, and a billowing duvet can make the autumnal evenings much more pleasant. With the children back in school, life starts to recover a semblance of pleasant routine. Every day schedules set a simple rhythm. As yard work slows down for the colder months, the family finds itself indoors increasingly early each day. Several television shows are full of intense drama, which will get the blood pumping prior to bed. For a lot of people, Dancing with the Stars is the ideal method to end the day in bed.

My Top Five Favorite Ben Stiller Movies

One of the kings of the modern day movie comedy is Ben Stiller. For over ten years, Stiller's face has become synonymous with hit comedies, and everything points to this trend continuing on into the next decade. Stiller is a very likable guy who clearly does not take himself too seriously, in movies at least.
Let's go through and take a look at some of Ben Stiller's best movies so far.
The first movie that I will mention on this list is Meet The Parents. From a likability standpoint, this might be his best movie of all. No other movie of his has been able to have two spinoffs. The sequel is Meet The Fockers, and the third installment, "Little Fockers" hits theaters this winter.
Another great movie that Stiller starred in was There's Something About Mary. I remember going into this movie having no idea what to expect, and wow was I surprised. This was easily one of my favorite comedies of the 1990s.
This list would not be complete without giving praise to Tropic Thunder. In my opinion, this is an incredible movie. The plot is absolutely brilliant, and it manages to balance action and comedy very well. One of the better comedies in recent years.
While I am not the biggest fan of these movies, it is hard to deny the popularity of the Night At The Museum franchise. These two films have made some serious money at the box office, and all signs point to another installment.
One other movie that definitely makes the cut for me is Heavyweights. This might be my favorite Ben Stiller role of all, playing the part of the psychotic Tony Perkis, a fitness guru who takes over a camp for fat kids.

My Top Five Favorite Jim Carrey Movies

One of the funniest actors of today's generation of movies is Jim Carrey. Over the years, his career has expanded and he is no longer limited to comedies, which is a great thing. Carrey happens to be a very talented actor, regardless of the genre of film he is working in.
Let's take a look at some of Jim Carrey's greatest movies in recent memory.
The first film on this list that I will discuss is Dumb and Dumber. If you are looking for an absolutely hilarious comedy that will not require much thinking, but plenty of laughs, look no further. This very well might be his funniest film. Jeff Daniels also stars in this movie, and I have no idea where he has been since.
It goes without saying that one of the Ace Ventura movies has to be mentioned on this list. I personally liked Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls more. There are a few scenes in this movie that absolutely put me in stitches.
Another movie that I definitely have to include on this list is Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. This is one of my top twenty favorite movies of all time, let alone one starring Carrey. This film is directed by Michel Gondry and also stars Kate Winslet. If you are looking to see one of best films of the romance genre the past few years, then this is it. It is amazing and yet, not cheesy at all.
Me, Myself and Irene was just an impressive role for Jim Carrey. He managed to pull off two completely different personalities in this film while having both characters be hilarious in their own way. This movie also stars Rene Zelwegger. The scene with the cow in the middle of the road is tough to watch, but really funny.
No list of Jim Carrey movies would be complete without mentioning The Mask. This is Jim Carrey at his best. It also doesn't hurt that this is the movie that helped establish Cameron Diaz. She was amazing in this movie. In fact, I will go on to say that if you ask most middle aged men what movie Cameron Diaz looks the most attractive in, most of the time the answer will be The Mask. Maybe it was that red dress.

Picking the Perfect Christmas Movie

We all know that when you've spent one or more days in the bosom of your family, you may just be in need of a small break, after all that eating, singing and playing games. How about the perfect family Christmas Movie Marathon?
However, how do you pick a movie that will suit all tastes? My own family is a rag tag bunch of single middle aged men, aka my divorced brothers, angry teens, small children, thanks to a sudden desire to have just one more that my sister had, my mom, who really only likes things if they were scripted by Jane Austen and my step dad, who doesn't like anything that isn't related to the second world war.
So how to find a way out of this dilemma? Is there a movie out there that will play to everyone's tune? Or at the very least won't have them complaining from start to finish?
Well, there are a few ways to go with this:
Firstly, there's the tried and true Classic. In my case, I always have The Sound of Music at the ready. It has everything, from the second world war to singing and dancing and talking goats! Add a bit of romance and it's such a classic even my mom can't object.
Secondly, a kid's movie that (almost) all grown ups love: I would suggest Harry Potter. One of the earlier ones if you have small children that are easily scared, a later one, for instance Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, if your kids can handle a bit of evil magic!
Thirdly: a funny Christmas movie. I would suggest Groundhog Day, as I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like that movie!
Lastly: a recent Christmas movie. For instance this year's Nutcracker 3D. It's got everything, from Christmas Trees to evil rats (I'll tell my step dad they were inspired by Nazi Germany). It's old enough (1920's Vienna) for my mom to like it, spectacular enough for even the most sullen teen and not too scary for little ones. I hope. Maybe check out the movie trailersin advance to see whether your kids would be okay with it. That's always a smart move, because some kiddie films these days can be pretty darn scary!

The Force Powers of Yoda - Jedi Master

Those familiar with the Star Wars Saga will certainly recognise the powerful Jedi Master Yoda. In the original trilogy, Yoda's character was mainly that of a teacher, and it is not until the prequel movies that we see some of his abilities with the lightsaber. Long recognised as one of the most powerful Jedi in the universe, here is a brief summary of Yoda's life and Force abilities.
George Lucas does not provide much detail of Yoda's early life. He is a male of an unknown (and un-named) species, born in the year 896BBY, on a remote, and also un-named planet.
NOTE: BBY stands for Before the Battle of Yavin - the year the Death Star was destroyed, leading to the eventual overthrow of the Empire. Due to the significance of this event, the Republic established this date as Year 0 when it set the new post-Empire calendar.
Standing at barely 26 inches tall, it is not even known if Yoda is of average height for his species. What we do known is that early in his life, he left his remote home planet for the core worlds when his ship was struck by an asteroid and disabled, barely managing to reach an un-named swampy planet (not Dagobah). It is on this planet that he encounters the Jedi Master N'Kata Del Gormo, who recognises that Yoda is extremely Force sensitive and trains him. It is here that Yoda becomes a Jedi Master in the year 796 BBY. Over the next 600 years, Yoda trains countless younglings as head of the Jedi Training Academy, and continues to add to his own skills as a Jedi Master. Soon recognised as one of the greatest Jedi Masters, Yoda has the following Force abilities.
Swordmaster - Title given only to those who have mastered all techniques in lightsaber combat. Yoda prefers the Form IV Technique which employs a variety of whirling and acrobatic movements.
The Force - Generally considered to be the Jedi Orders greatest Master of the Force, including his extremely powerful, and precise, telekinetic abilities, including:
Force Push: Ability to throw objects/people away
Force Pull: Ability to pull objects towards himself
Force Whirlwind: Advanced Force Push that lifts, spins and immobilizes opponents
Force Repulse/Force Throw: More powerful Force Push, used to fling objects at high velocity away from the user
Force Wave: Most powerful form of the Force Push, creates a wave of pure Force energy that pushes anything in its path away from the source (Yoda)
Force Valor: Used to focus abilities, increase resolve, and increase ones capacity to move faster and strike harder. used by Yoda to overcome limitations of old age
Force Lightning: Yoda had the ability to deflect and dissipate Force Lightning with his bare hands.
Battle Meditation - Ability to simultaneously lift the spirits of his allies while disheartening the resolve of his opponents. Enhanced by Yoda's reputation as a warrior, he was known to win battles by his presence on the battlefield.
At the core of Yoda's abilities was his skill as a teacher. As Grand Master of the Jedi Order, he had a hand in training nearly all Jedi. He also teaches young Luke Skywalker, who after the Jedi are nearly exterminated by Darth Vader, goes on to found the New Jedi Order.

The Greatest Jeff Bridges Movies Of His Career

This article will focus on the career and movies of Jeff Bridges. Bridges has been acting for over 40 years and has quietly established himself as one of the better actors in the industry. If you ever read magazine interviews with actors and actresses, anyone who has worked with Bridges only has great things to say. It comes as no surprise that such a great actor gets to star in great movies.
Here are some of the better movies to come out that have starred Jeff Bridges.
One movie of Bridges that I have to include is White Squall. Maybe I am impartial because I love stories taking place at sea, but I thought this was an excellent film. This movie was directed by the great Ridley Scott.
Arlington Road is another film that I certainly will discuss. This movie is not for the faint of heart, and is an incredibly gripping film. While Jeff Bridges is great in this film, the true star of this movie is his neighbor, Tim Robbins.
Another movie that I would definitely include on this list is Tron. This is one of the founding fathers of both science fiction and special effects driven movies, and I cannot wait to see what Tron 2 will look like in 3D. The sequel will also star Bridges.
Of all the movies that Bridges has starred in, in no movie was his performance as impressive as in Crazy Heart. If you put any other actor in this film, it probably would have been overlooked; Bridges managed to make this movie into his personal masterpiece, culminating in an Academy Award.
To not put The Big Lebowski on this list would be a shame. This film has become such a cult classic that bowling leagues across the country have sprouted up in its honor. This is definitely one of the better comedies of the nineties.

5 Things You Need to Know Before Buying a 3D TV

Although there were many skeptics who felt 3D TV would never get off the ground, the launch in 2010 of numerous models of 3D TVs and the ever-increasing availability of 3D programming sources has made it abundantly clear that the 3D TV revolution has begun. Television viewing will never be the same.
2010 brought the first wave of 3D TVs to the market, and they have been very well received, even at a time when consumer spending overall is down. Samsung and a handful of other manufacturers are ushering in the age of 3D.
This article is written to help 3D novices get the basic understanding of 3D technology that they will need before seriously considering spending the money to make the move to 3D TV.
5 Things You Need to Know About 3D TV
1. What Exactly is 3D TV? It's a feature on a standard HDTV which gives it the capability to display three-dimensional images from 3D content. Models incorporating this feature, such as the Samsung 750 Class, are already on the market.
2. Can You Watch Regular TV on a 3D TV? Yes you can. 3D TVs can also handle standard 2D programming, just like any other TV. In fact many of them have a feature that will convert a 2D image to 3D. For example, a Samsung 3D TV has a button on the remote that will convert the 2D image to a 3D image. Put on your 3D glasses and you're good to go.
3. Is Special Programming Required? Yes, you need a 3D program source to get the benefit of 3D TV. As mentioned, some TVs can convert a 2D source for viewing as a 3D program.
4. Are 3D Programs Readily Available? Although we are in the infant stages of the technology, because of the huge consumer interest, companies are scrambling to produce more and more 3D programming. Right now, in addition to a growing list of 3D Blu-Ray movies, some 3D programming is available on cable and pay-per-view. Further, new 3D movies and shows are being produced all the time, and there are companies currently developing entire 3D cable networks.
5. What Do I Need Besides the TV? As mentioned, you need a 3D capable, HD TV and a 3D source of programming. In addition, you will need some of those cool 3D glasses. Despite how they may look, they are not just ordinary sun glasses. 3D glasses have a battery built in and have special technology which enables you to view your programming in 3D. Since each company has its own proprietary 3D technology, you must be sure to get the same brand of glasses as your 3D TV, so they'll match up and work together to give you that 3D viewing experience you're looking for.

The Three Elements of Science Fiction Movies

ET, robot, time travel and virtual space are the main elements that widely used by the science fiction movie. Then what are the symbolic meanings of the three elements? What distinct temperament it brings to science fiction movie?

ET stands for an image that exists independently with the human being. It is a symbol and metaphor of human being's various desire, dream and nightmare. At first, ET was described as a huge creature which is giant, evil and has mental retardation. They wave their hands, use ray gun to fire human beings. UFO like alien spacecraft, octopus-like monster from outer space and death ray weapon, etc, is the novel elements in science fiction movies. Human being's courage, unity and wisdom shown when they overcome the aliens are the main theme of these films.

Robot is a human creation, in science fiction movie they are supposed to be a combination of machine and human. They are nothing more than imitation of human. They have three kind of relationship with human being. First, the relationship between master and servant. Second, the relationship between man and machine; Third, the relationship between man and god.

Robot is always moulded as the servant of human being, even like a domestic dog. Transforming man includes cloning, human that produced by the biological transformation and people with extraordinary capacity. It usually means a deformation of human being. This description of robot can reflect the potential human nature. So the main theme of this kind of movie is always the question that whether human can be god or not. When human has an equal power with god, his spirit can't control his power. Therefore, this film is often confused, pessimistic and with a prophetic function.

Whenever a time travel or space travel is a means not the ultimate goal. The meaning of travel can be generally summed up with adventure and treasure hunt. Space travel is not that simple to take your package. For example, in the beginning of Star Wars, Luke begins his adventure journey when he catches the first sight with princess Lea's image. But in the end, what he is looking for is not the superficial target but his vision and growth.

Time travel movies are more complicated on the surface. In this type of movie time becomes a false concept; the most important thing is self-identified. However, film with the theme of time will not easily let you wake up, it always use another time travel to overthrow all the things have happened.

Summary: have you noticed that ET, robot, time travel and virtual space has become the main elements in science fiction movies? What does is play as? This article will show you

Mark Wahlberg's Best Films Of His Career

While he may not be the best actor in the bunch, Mark Wahlberg has definitely been his fair share of great movies. Wahlberg is one of the few actors who is very well liked by both female and male audiences alike, and as a result, his movies tend to do very well at the box office. Over the years, he has definitely had some hits.
This article will discuss what I consider to be the best films of Mark Wahlberg's career.
While The Basketball Diaries was won of his first films, it still remains one of my favorites. It may be hard to believe that a young Leonardo DiCaprio was a great basketball player, as depicted in this film, but Wahlberg was a perfect fit for his role.
Another fantastic movie that stars Mark Wahlberg is Fear. I really liked him in this movie because it is a departure from the roles that we have come to love him for. He plays a seriously bad dude in this movie and is very convincing with it.
It goes without saying that any list of films starring Wahlberg has to include The Departed. If you are going to combine an all star cast of Wahlberg, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Vera Farmiga and the great Jack Nicholson with a director like Martin Scorsese, the result is going to be awesome.
The Perfect Storm is another movie that I feel is worthy of mentioning as one of his best. This movie tells the lifestyle of fisherman from the town of Gloucester, Massachusetts. I am not sure if it's based on a true story, but it easily could be.
Boogie Nights is another other movie that makes the list for me. Dirk Diggler has become an iconic character, and with good reason. This film is much more than a story about an adult film star.
Hopefully there are one or more films from Mark Wahlberg on this list which you have not yet seen.

My Top Five Favorite Vince Vaughn Movies

Vince Vaughn is an interesting actor. He is hilarious, however I think it would be wrong to call him a comedian. I have seen his standup before, and I found it underwhelming. In movies, however, he is absolutely hilarious. Maybe because he usually plays a role that seems to be reflective of his every day self. Regardless of the reason, he has had some great films.
This article will discuss what I consider to be Vince Vaughn's best films to date.
One movie that definitely makes the cut for me is Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Yes, Will Ferrell was incredible in this film, but what made it so great was the number of appearances from other stars in it. Vaughn plays the role of Wes Mantooth, a rival reporter.
Another movie that I would have to include on this list is Wedding Crashers. I have a serious problem with Wedding Crashers; it is one of those movies that any time I catch it on television, I have to watch it in its entirety.
No list of Vince Vaughn films would be complete without mentioning Into The Wild. A little known fact about this movie is that another great actor, Sean Penn, actually directed it. Another great fact about this movie is that Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam, wrote most, if not all, of the songs on the soundtrack.
One of Vince Vaughn's best movies of all time is definitely Old School. This is the Animal House of the modern age, and one of my favorite comedies in recent memory. This movie also stars Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson.
Finally, no list of Vince Vaughn films would be complete without mentioning Swingers. This is another classic comedy that happens to star Jon Favreau, Ron Livingston, Vaughn and Heather Graham.
As it stands, these are my favorite movies starring (or featuring) Vince Vaughn. I can't wait for Old School 2!
