Doctor Who is one of the five top grossing titles for BBC Worldwide, the BBC's commercial arm. BBC Worldwide CEO John Smith has said that Doctor Who is one of a small number of "Superbrands" which Worldwide will be promoted heavily. Every year since the new series started, Doctor Who has won the award for the Best Drama at the National Television Awards, with David Tennant winning best actor, for his unforgettable portrayal of The Doctor from 2005-2010, before handing the torch over with his last words "I don't want to go," regenerating into the latest incarnation of The Doctor.
As well as the television series, there is now a Live show extravaganza, which is touring the UK, and coming to Scotland, at the Glasgow SECC. Also there are downloadable adventure games from the BBC official website, enabling you to take part in The Doctor's adventures.
